  • Hey misty. The reason to do an MRI is to get a better picture of the soft tissues versus say bony structures, which a CT scan can do that. Ive never ordered an MRI on a uterus but that would be the reason to do so. As far as a thickened endometrium, I am not so well versed in ob-gyn...sorry misty.
    Hey cor..I miss hanging out on here. I never have coupons anymore..and I work full time now.. Plus I am always exhausted..You probably get sick of this but I am gonna ask you a medical question anyway. the question is..if my doctore ordered an MRI on my uterus,then the radiologist wanted to do the high contrast pictures. Do you think they are looking for cancer?

    The doc was kind of vague..I am 42 have had extended heavy bleeding/clots.and the transvaginal ultrasound showed a thickened endometrium lining...no fibroids. I am sooo freaked out! Any reason too think they were looking for something else??
