3dfx is screwed

From the reviews that have been posted tonite... looks like the Geforce 2 will be the card w/ the fastest fill rate until the Voodoo5 6000 comes out.. but we can expect the NV20 to be released soon after that...

PCI versions of the Geforce2 will also be released.. destroying 3dfx's hope of dominating what's left of the PCI market...

side note: Geforce 2 in a G4 Mac.. interesting.. hmmm....

3DFX is in some trouble if they don't release their Voodoo 4 and Voodoo 5's onto store shelves. These cards should be in stores within a month so there isn't any immediate doom for 3DFX.

GeForce 2. I haven't read much on it, but I have a GeForce DDR and it's working great. ATI is still in the game and their latest chip, RADEON, seems able to take over the competition if they can release it within two months. Too bad ATI rarely gets their chips out early these days.

I guess some are still old-fashioned and believe in the quality not quantity policy. Luckily this can only benefit us because competition drops prices for us comsumers.
