Ever notice how the the little green alien's head (the alien perched on the Soup Talk banner), looks strangely reminicent of Shel Silverstein's "Giving Tree"? Coincidence?....

(They're all from Larry Niven books. Most of them are names of races, but still... I think Kzinti suits him, despite the fact that in Niven's books, Kzinti are a race of cat-like creatures. I just think the name suits the little guy)
 
I second the vote for Schnookums. :) It just takes an alien with that sort of name to hold a raygun that looks somewhat like a turkey baster and a little like a deformed turnip. ;)
