AMD releases 1.2GHz Athlon and 800MHz Duron

If I were to build a new system now, it's just too obvious who I would choose:

1) Athlons are cheaper, clock for clock, than Intel chips.
2) Performance of the Athlons are only slightly slower in some cases than the Intel chips (and only in games), but the performance delta is much less than the price delta.
3) Based on 1) and 2) above, I can purchase far more performance by going with an Athlon.
4) Durons are MUCH faster as a value line of processor as they perform only 3% slower than the equivalently clocked K7s, and they are also on the 100 MHz FSB (rather than the old 66 MHz FSB for the CeleryII's)

A few things hold me back, though:

1) Issues with the KT133 chipset and the GeForce cards.
2) Waiting for the DDR chipset to come out.

I'm in no hurry, though, with my current setup.
