Are Photos In Novels a "No"?

Is there any particular reason why you dont get photos / images in novel books?

Novels are a good place for people to use their own imagination. Therefore, I oppose pictures in them - just as I dislike music videos for the same reason.

So would you not buy a novel if when you picked it up in the book shop, it had photos on the pages along with the writing?

Eh, maybe. I would say it depends on the novels. I have read some that sometimes include maps, which can be cool.
