Do you think it's right when countries ban controversial movies so people are not allowed to watch them in a country? I don't mean censorship in the sense that it goes against a countries beliefs or anything, but just movies that are so offensive or gory that a country has refused to age rate it.

I know that this has happened a couple of times for some movies. Such as the UK banned the Manhunt movie that I think was based off the game with the same name. Apparently it was so gratuitously violent that the film board refused to rate it. Do you have any other examples?

I think that by banning things it just makes people more determined to go against the main grain to find the thing that's banned in a more illegal way. I don't personally have any examples of this that I know of but I think that it is something which isn't going to be beneficial to the countries which do it.

Banning a movie is pointless in my opinion because it's just like anything else. If you tell someone to not do something then they'll just want to do that one thing. Banning a movie will just make people view it under other means and pirate it. Unless something is illegal I don't think it should be banned.
