In 2024, Best Buy will stop selling DVDs and Blu-Rays at both its brick-and-mortar stores and online.
Entertainment blog The Digital Bits reported that the end of the line for the discs could come as early as Q1 2024.
Customers who want to get their hands on DVDs and Blu-Rays can head to other retailers, including Target (TGT ), Walmart (WMT ), and Amazon (AMZN ).
Netflix (NFLX ), which started out by sending DVDs to customers in a rental model, stopped doing so at the end of September .
I don't go to Best Buy for anything these days. But I would of thought they would have stopped selling them a while ago.

I still find it quite shocking to see some places selling CDs and DVDs. In some places, they do tend to still sell as well but I wouldn't say that they sell enough for it to be worth it.
I feel there will always be a time when stores will stop selling these but it's a matter of when they feel ready to stop selling them.

Pretty sure my location got rid of their discs sometime ago, but yeah, getting hard to own in your hands on what you buy.
