“Orange County authorities confirmed that Casey Anthony applied to adopt a baby girl (2 years old) from Eastern Europe in early 2010. She was accepted by the Romanian government – pending the conclusion of her trial,” reads the phony story.
The link in the scam points to a news website called Weekly World News that claims Casey Anthony paid tens of thousands for the baby and that Romanians are “appalled” by the adoption, but if we take a closer look at the site we realize that it actually specializes in hoax stories.
