As for the Telletubbies--I thought it was funny when Jerry Fallwell went on a crusade against 'em....(I was laughing at fallwell)
 
i try to steer clear of kid's shows these days ('cept cartoons like teen titans and justice league and xmen evolution, which seems to have disappeared now that i think about it) 'cuz they creep me out. they are a little too happy :). i just remember the last time i saw mr. rogers i believe it was, or mr. dressup, he went out back and told one of his puppets "bring me my hoes!" ...lol, i laughed and laughed and my roommates laughed and laughed...and then the puppet brought a hoe out! lol. but it was the shovel kind of hoe :( . it was still really funny!

lol, nope...they were doing gardening and he needed a hoe to shovel with. what can i say, get a bunch of university kids in residence and watching a kids show and all we come up with is how dirty a show it is lol. dirty dirty show...mr. rogers and his hoes! lol
 
I figured as much...I'm just out of college, so I've still got some of that sense of humor in me. It's not worn off.
 
Hehe...it's like finding the sublte adult comedy they sometimes put in Fraggle Rock... hah, good waste of time!

or going back and watching "who's the boss?", even though it's not really a kids show...oh man, mona? dirtiest. old lady. ever. really, go watch. if you were a kid (i was) when the show was on the first time you prolly didn't notice...sweet jebus i don't know how they let that be on in primetime :)
 
Hmm...I never got that on the 3 channels I would get in New Brunswick...

Is that something I should look into in order not to looks stupid in front of my other (Canadian?) friends?
 
yeah they always find ways to try and sneak dirty things into a show..even commercials...im sure we all remember the mr. bucket commercials: im Mr. Bucket put your balls in my mouth, put your balls in my mouth. hahahahaha. yup, real game, real commercial, i used to play with it all the time.

djeuve: um...it was an american show. with tony danza and it launched whatshername...alyssa milano into hotness. it might come up once a year in an obscure reference these days lol. so your choice :)
 
Oh, cool. I think I do remember seeing a brief clip of that a LONG time ago... So thanks. At least now I can at least PRETEND I know what it is :p

Maybe later on when I get my own place all alone, I'll be bored enough to spend my time watching old TV shows and catch up on all my missed pop-culture. ;)

I used to watch Who's the Boss all the time when it was on...believe me, you aren't missing anything besides really bad 80s fashion.
 
man i loved the teletubbies. especially tinky winky. my school was filled with hard core baptist bible thumpers, and they would tear up tinky winky dolls on site because he was the gay one. good times good times.

what about seseme st? fricken count. what kind of vampire was he! i mean, never once did you hear him say "hokai, today vve count how many puncture wholes are in shzur nehck! vvon! twoooo! ha ha ha ha"


i cant stand the baby tiny tunes or what ever its called. they turned taz into this cute little wahwahwah kid with downs instead of violent and agry taz! and they all talk with a baby lisp.. i want to murder them all.


why cant we have old school shows like the jetsons?
