Cloudflare DNS causing SSL issues with SharePoint

We recently switched our DNS from thexyz to cloudflare and have started to notice a number of issues with the cloudflare DNS that interfere with other services.

Here is the certificate error:

SSL received a record that exceeded the maximum permissible length. Error code: SSL_ERROR_RX_RECORD_TOO_LONG The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified. Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem.

Did you buy an SSL certificate with us?

2 things to look at :You’ve got the listening port misconfigured – If you want your website to establish secure connections you must configure it to use Port 443 or you don’t support an adequate TLS version.

I don't actually have an SSL certificate for this SharePoint instance.

Well do you have the SSL file on your computer?

Well it shows secure...

Usually a SSL is applied when that shows. Your SSL cert is applied and is issued by COMODO ECC. Securing server CA 2.

I think this is something to do with Cloudflare.

Is cloudflare the one who provided you the SSL?

We recently transferred name servers to cloudflare and that seems to be the issue then?

What DNS host was you using before?

Did the sharepoint site exist before you changed your names servers to cloudflare ?

Yes it did.

I was using thexyz dns and it worked flawlessly.

Did you inform cloudflare that you have a sharepoint site as well as the main website for the SSL when switching over ?

No. But I will try contacting them as it seems this is cloudflare issue. Thanks for your help on this.

I reverted my DNS back and no longer use Cloudflare which has resolved the issues. Thanks.
