KUALA LUMPUR (Reuters) - Two Malaysian groups have bumped heads over the cracking of coconuts during the upcoming Hindu Thaipusam religious festival.
The Malaysian Hindu Youth Council says the Consumers Association of Penang (CAP) has no business telling Hindus they should limit the number of coconuts they break as an offering to Muruga, a son of the Hindu god Vishnu.
