Are you a Hardcore gamer who likes to finish a mission or complete a game in 2 or 3 days.

Or a gamer who loves to spend time, enjoy the game and finish it in a slow phase.

I don't fit in any of these categories :D

Not hardcore as I have kids and don't have the time but I do love the xbox, last game I finished was Aliens v Predator.

Actually I usually play like a hardcore gamer for a day or so, then the interest in the game is lost. I almost never end up finishing a game all the way through. Come to think of it, i've never finished a whole game.

I usually like to set the game on its easiest setting the first time through. That way I can experience the game, storyline, etc...

Then I at least feel like I didn't waste my time or money. Then I can always play again at more difficult settings if my interest in the game is still there.

Terraformation of Mars

If Terraformation was economically and technologically possible would it be in the best interest of humanity to do so? For those who do not know Terraforming is the scientific transformation of a unlivable planet, such as Mars, into an Earth like planet capable of sustaining terrestrial life. We have the technology to actually do some of this process now but the expenditure from such a project would be enormous to say the least. However, as we know from Mars, which was once a Earth like planet, nature will not hold on Earth forever and the planet will deteriorate with time. That wont be in our lifetimes but isn't it important to maintain the survival of human life and animals in such an occurrence? What are your thoughts on this??

Of course it becomes more and more so technical depending on planet you are speaking of. However Mars as an example only retains about 40% of it's magnetic shielding making it impossible for a atmosphere to renew. In addition the planet is cooler as a majority of the planetary core is theorized to have cooled.

Here is a very cool picture. This is an artistic rendition of 4 stages of Terraforming Mars. The first one is Mars untouched the the last would be the finished product.

freakin awesome post! I (sadly) don't have time to reply to this topic, but I would love to see an astronomy/science/physics/cosmology sub-forum here on Community Chaos for stuff like this.

If you can read it I couldn't make it through the whole book. The book is called Dark Mission by Richard C. Hoagland. He and other believe that Mars is already been terraformed in the past.
He and others believe that life at one time existed on Mars and NASA is covering it up. Why I have no clue but like I said I could not finish the book.
Though like I say with all things there is a possibility he is right and they are I like to keep an open mind.

Why couldn't you finish the book? And I have to agree that everything is possible. Some cool pictures as well they're very interesting. I think we should look to work on slowing down the decay of our planet before we plan on moving to another. We shouldn't get in the habit of just ****ing up planet after planet and just keep moving on. We should focus on conserving a planets resources and only move when its necessary.

I am usually able to finish most books I read. I found it actually quite boring and gave me no information I was not already aware of. I love conspiracy books and am usually able to finish them with out a problem this I couldn't. The man came off as boring as hell and it seemed like a lecture in book form rather then a book.
Some may be able to finish it just not me lol.
Where ever we go we are going to destroy. Whether we colonize other planets or space itself we destroy whatever we touch. We are the most destructive species to inhabit the earth. It may not be all people who are like this but enough are that we would destroy whatever we touch.
