i wish i knew what the flock was wrong with compuserve. the free isp's work better than the ones you pay $21.99 a month for. it keeps locking up my puter and saying that it has performed an illegal operation. i tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no avail. any suggestions?
Doody, don't ya' think it's time to try another ISP? How about goin' for a smaller company that's LOCAL??? I've had mine for the last 4 months and I love it!! Ya' get on in 5 seconds flat. It may not be as fancy as compu-crap but it get's me where I'm goin'!!!
No doubt. Local ISPs are the way to go. Besides, how else do you think we're going to beat down the behemoth that is AOL than by supporting our local ISPs?

actually though
compuserve *had* been improving as of late. no more busies or sudden log-offs. i still hated dealing w/their mindless customer service reps, so i stopped the madness anyway and am very happy.

I use a local ISP, and whenever there are problems, the tech guy and I end up having conversations about the hardware they use. It's so nice to have people who know what they are talking about.
