Few years back, I had a very serious challenge with watching horror movies at night because once it's done, I would find it very difficult to close my eyes that night and sleep especially if I'm sleeping alone in the room.

Did anyone of you know that feeling?

I had that too when I was still a kid, but I grew past it very fast, and now I don't even enjoy watching horror movies in the day time, I would wait till it's past 10pm before , going to Netflix to stream any horror movie. xD

I always have sleepless nights each time I watch horror movies at night. Assuming I watched a vampire focused movie, I will feel like not sleeping as the fear of these vampires attacking me at night will grip me.

I watch horror movies whenever I feel like. In fact, it's my favorite kind of movie and I can watch it by 2:00 AM and still go to sleep soundly.

I enjoy watching horror movies. Well, the sound effects and scenes scare me but the movies don't make me lose sleep. I can differentiate between fiction and reality.

I wouldn't say that a scary movie has ever made me lose sleep before as such, there have been a few that have made it hard for me to get to sleep but once I'm asleep it doesn't bother me. I think if a movie has stopped you from going to sleep then you need to talk to someone and get over the fear if it's scared you that much!

They are all fiction. It's why I hardly take anything that's acted very seriously because I know that they are not real. It's only things of horror in real life that can keep me from sleeping.

I find that I struggle to sleep if I watch a scary film, especially if I watch it when I am home alone. Its so unnerving, especially one of those movies with the jumpy scenes based in a home setting. For that reason I tend to avoid watching them as I don't find something that makes me loose sleep as entertaining.

In the past, I have watched some horror movies, and one that springs to mind for me is Stephen King's IT. After I watched IT I had issues sleeping and even issues going into the bathroom due to the whole sewers and sink holes and such in the movie.

I have only watched Stephen King's IT a few times but now I avoid it at all costs.

If at all i do loose sleep, it is mostly just for the first night after watching it. After the first night it no longer bothers me. Then again not all horror movies have this effect on me though.

Indeed, horror movies defy my sleep, which is why I stop watching a horror movie. It does not make sense. Why should I punish myself? I am now a fan of Chinese dramas. They are cool, and their actors and actresses are pretty.:expressionless:

To be honest, even if I am a fan of horror movies, I still get scared. I can barely sleep at night, especially when I watched “The Blair Witch Project” and “Gongjiam: Hunted Asylum.” Both really frightened me and I had a hard time sleeping for two nights. Lol
