So something I have noticed about myself is how I seem to try to do so much at once that I often confuse myself. Instead of just working on one thing and then moving on to the next, I find that I get ideas and then I move from one task to the other and back again.

Do you find that you do this or are you quite strict with how you manage your tasks and work?

I've had such issues in the past, therefore I've started keeping a journal where I note down everything I work on as I go along.
I've always made it a point to create and assign myself the relevant tasks appropriately using the task management software of the company.

When I am doing intensive tasks, like coding a page or accounting, I have no issue with staying on task and focused. However, some tasks (and article writing comes to mind) are not so much confusing at times, but more so easy for me to get drug into a source or offtopic and then I lose what I'm working on.

So true, it's the same with me!
I'm a software developer, it can be challenging when there are multiple issues and priorities change at short notice, hence I have to do the above ^^

I use two forms of tasking organization techniques, both the old fashioned notebook with items I check off as I go, and I also use Notion for the really serious stuff so I stay super organized. I do have my days where I have less focus and sometimes just have to give in to it. Writing is easy to produce and I don't have an issue staying focused, but if it's calculations and something new that requires thought then I do best when no one is home to be able to focus and get the task done. Atmosphere is everything to me in order to be successful in completing a task and not get distracted.

Same! I need silence to stay best focused on anything from reading (whether it be related to work or space time), documenting my diary and writing code at work :P

I have been getting more and more into forms. I have always lived off of my Outlook Cal and To-Do list, but they have gotten quite cluttered.

Some people can put a headset on and listen to music while they work, but I can't. :expressionless: I do my best work without distractions in silence too! :)

I haven't tried the Outlook Calendar, but I did just take a look at it; looks great. I must fully confess, my "to do" list in my notebook is a bit scary right now. I plan to bring in all all of my notes into Notion over the next week and only use my notebook for quick thoughts, as opposed to writing on everything around me when I have a quick thought I don't want to forget.:flushed:

OH my mind definitely bounces around a bit. Sometimes I just let it go where it needs to go because I might come up with something utterly amazing and don't want to stifle my creativity.

Same, I can't either! But I put music on sometimes (on my speaker and not on my headset as headsets hurt my ears, lol, plus the thump broadcast around the room is unique) to de-stress, as a way of me to think and walk around the room, dance about, take a break. But when I actually am working I need silence:cool:

I never even use a notebook ! I just make a to-do list in order of priority in word, as I type faster than I write
I also can't read my own handwriting

Headsets are heavy and then I think about my hair :innocent:

I can attest to your typing speed.:fearscream:

It is by far my favorite calendar. I tried Google like everyone seems to use, but it lacked too many features for my liking. The only issue is that is joins the club of every other major calendar that sucks at showing days with numerous events per day.

I appreciate your recommendation, coming from one writer to another and lots of website stuff to keep track of, anything to get me more organized is welcome. I'm adding the Outlook calendar to my "to do" list for next week. Thank you!
