Something many of us will always remember is the very first game we ever played. With gaming being so new to us, the first game you played could be the one that sticks in your mind all your life and that you will always remember, maybe you even have many memories playing with friends or family on said game.

Me, the first game I can ever remember playing was Alex The Kidd which was built into the Sega Master System. One of the fondest memories I have of that game was playing with my cousin who managed to work out how to beat all the rock, paper, scissors mini-games.

Telstar Pong was the first game I ever played. I don't know how my dad could afford the system since we were poor but we had a lot of fun thinking we were rich when he brought it home. It was boring though. I didn't like games until we got the Atari 5200 years later.

Mine was Sonic the Hedgehog on the Sega Genesis (or Mega Drive outside North America.) My cousins had one and they brought it over to my grandparents' house back in 1994. One of my cousins convinced me to pick up the controller and I've loved video games ever since that day! Sonic is still my favorite gaming franchise, I didn't get my own Genesis until four years later once we moved out of my grandparents' house.

The first one I can remember is Carmen Sandiego. This was like 1985 or so. I am not sure if there was something before that.
