Who here wears glasses? When did you start wearing glasses? Do you like or hate them?

I've been wearing glasses since I was about thirteen years old. I started wearing them when a teacher contacted my parents claiming I had a vision problem. Honestly, I don't mind them. I've tried wearing contacts in the past, but they really irritate my eyes. My eyes continuously get worse year to year and I'm getting new prescriptions about every one and half to two years.

Yep! I wear them all the time. I'm nearly blind without them.

Had them since I was a kid. Not sure how old.

Never wanted contacts. Don't care to shove stuff in my eyes, plus I have enough issues with dry eye and such. I don't really mind wearing them. Just a pain having to clean them and stuff.

Yep, since the 7th or 8th grade. I can only blame my younger years of playing video games while very close to the tv.

I've had them since I was in fifth grade, circa ten years old. My eyeglasses are a bother most of the time since they require constant maintenance such as cleaning and wiping. Not sure why, but they can be huge dirt and grease magnets sometimes...

Luckily for me, this means that I won't be needing any sort of reading glasses when I'm older unlike everyone else... Well, by at least a few more years.  :cute:

I definitly do, I think I started actually wearing glasses before I started driving with my permit because that is when I really noticed that I was quite nearsighted. I don't mind them, I have been wearing them for years and years now, prefer them over contacts for sure.
