News update from ARD (Google-translated)

Mubarak wants to dissolve government, initiate democratic reforms, etc.; at least 13 people have been reported dead in the protests earlier tonight.

Well as usual our American government stands up for brutal dictators and not the peoples rights. Just like it did during the elections for a new Iranian leader and it was proven the election was falsified. The people protested and we supported dictators instead

Yeah the culprits are usually either the USA or France ... both have been responsible for some dictatorships in the past decades. Usually, it's all about getting cheap raw materials.

p.s.: When I was in hospital once, I met a man from Africa (can't remember which country), and he had lost a hand, it was blown off by a French tank during an uprising of the people against some dictatorship. Some countries still seem to think it's cheaper to support a dictatorship than a democracy, especially when business interests are involved. I certainly wouldn't want that blood sticking to my hands ... oftentimes, legit elected governments have been overthrown with outside support in favor of dictatorships ... especially in Africa.

Interesting: Netanyahu forbids discussion of Egypt in the Knesset (Guardian UK) ... I thought Israel was a democratic country.

The protesters want a free, secular democratic country.
