My family is buying a new computer for my little brother who is really into gaming like Starcraft and league of legends and some other games but mainly those at the moment. So we were planning on buying him a good gaming computer anywhere between $500-$1000. I don't know anything about requirements the laptop needs but as long as it's good for gaming, lasts a good amount of time, and whatever else is good. All i've heard so far is that alienware are good gaming computers. Lemme know your suggestions.

Thanks.

With that budget you couldn't get an alienware either way. I would consider an ASUS gaming laptop and sometimes acer has some good ones.

If you could, consider building your own custom computer, instead of choosing an expensive pre-built laptop. Hopefully your little brother isn't on the move too much and generally would play these games mostly at home, not lugging around a heavy laptop.

Having played Starcraft extensively myself :), I know that it only takes a $600 custom built computer to run the game well on High. But a $600 laptop will barely run the game on low, and there is no reason to have a laptop unless it is for portability.
