What are your opinions on gay marriage that was recently legalised in the United States? Do you think that it was the right decision or do you think that it was not the best?

Try not to offend anyone in this thread with your opinions please :)

I say congratulations to gay couples who wish to get married. FINALLY they have the right to have a say in each other's lives as far as property and health decisions for example. I think it's important for people to really consider what marriage really means regardless of your sexual orientation. It is not something that should be taken lightly. It's not just signing a piece of paper. It's about committing yourselves to each other and understanding that every decision made from that day forward will affect your partner and future children (if that's something the couple wishes to have). You are agreeing to a true partnership and you agree to respect each other and protect each from death till you part.

It is their choice, it isn't my world to condemn any one

In my opinion, gay marriage is a wrong act. Truly, though. The world was and shouldn't be where we're at with this sort of stuff, no offence but truly eww.

Freedom of right is a different thing, gay marriage should not be allowed.

I strongly disagree really. Is there a specific reason why you don't agree with, religion? Freedom of right is the right to do what you want and have your own opinion so therefore gay marriage should fall under that. I don't see why someone should have a say over someone else's life tbh. If I were to say that you can't do something or wear something because I disagree with it would that mean that you would stop it?

I don't agree with it because marriage is between a man and a woman. It doesn't matter what you legalize because I won't ever recognize a gay couple as married. With that said I'm one person and if the law is changed let it be changed. The bigger issue is the LGBT agenda being pushed on the population.

why not accept gay marriage? They are human beings just like us, wishing to be happy. We are all equal whatever your sex orientation is. The law regarding marriage should not be limited to man and woman  it should be extended to everyone. All they want is to be accepted and treated like normal beings.

Sure,  but the problem is that they were already accepted and treated like normal people.  Now sexuality is up front and it means something when it shouldn't.  What you do in your bedroom is your business. I don't have to like it,  I don't have to accept it,  and I don't have to respect it. You do your thing and I'll do mine.  That's not how society is though.  Being gay is cool now...its up front, in your face, overrides the rights of others, and God help you if you have an opinion other than what they think your opinion should be because the names they call you are vulgar. They make up umbrella slurs to stigmatize, demean, and bully anyone not on the agenda - "homophobic" - which is a bullshit term to begin with. Hate to say it but the LGBT represents less than 4% of the American population. We should not be bowing down to their demands and we should not be changing our culture to make them dominant. Marriage isn't the only issue here. It goes far beyond marriage.

Personally, I disagree with gay marriage. One main reason is religion. I'm Christian. God created Adam and Eve surely for a reason, that's to reproduce. He didn't create Adam and Steve or Eve and Eva because they can't have children. I know that they are normal people and should be treated normally, but letting gay marriage is against God's Words.

I hope you understand that God's Words are the only things that matter to me when making decisions on this kind of situations. We all have our own opinions and they can differ, so I hope you understand. :cute:

I think it is a great thing, love and love and there should not be anything that can stop it.

I have to agree with gay marriage because otherwise, my floor mate and friend Magorito won't be quite as happy in life. He's those snuggly types that like having a close relationship rather than being a friend with benefit. It wouldn't be fair if he can't achieve what he wants in life because of some law, since he's a nice person.
