Google adwords

I have been thinking about using it, to get more traffic.
Anyone used adwords here? If so, what do you think of it? Is it worth it? I would rather have some opinions rather than reviews.

I tried to use it. Didn't do much for me so I stopped. I try not to have any ads at all.

I think it's worth it, but it's a big plus if you know what you're doing. Otherwise, you could end up wasting a lot of money. For instance, if you send tons of visitors to a lame landing page, then you could be asking for trouble.

If you have the funds available to do it and your website has a good conversion rate (visitors into sales) then it can work. But it can be alot of money spend for nothing if your website doesn't earn it back through sales, etc.. When i say "nothing", i mean if your advertising a website that is to earn you money, but if your advertising a cause, charity, event, etc.. then it will get alot of clicks and views to it.

A business could also get a lot of clicks with no money - simply because it wants to gain publicity and then money later. For instance, building a list could take time. Once it's done, the money could roll in.
