GTA V Doubles Activions BLOPS 2 Sales Worldwide.

With the exceptions of brazil and japan not involved GTA has raked in more than $800 million within day one sales.

While activisions highest just raked in $400 million Saying that looking at the sales figures on wikipedia It has more sales than near enough BLOPS, BLOPS 2 and MW2 combined just short of $200 million I'm sure they will hit that though. So Activision watch and learn..

Also while it took BLOPS 2 to reach this target in 5 days Rockstar has managed to do this on day one unsure on figures for the week atm.

I think it's weird considering - I know GTA has a huge vibe about it anyway and has done for years, but the first television advert I saw for GTA V was Tescos advertising it on the day of release.

The reputation around it was so hyped before release, I don't think they needed to really advertise it to that extent. Rockstar has always been my second favourite, though (to Naughty Dog, obviously :p). Even The Last of Us didn't have this much hype, and that was expected to be a 10/10 pre-release.
 
I saw it advertised before the day on release on Dave when I was watching lizard lick towing. After that I haven't So I guess they've saved money in this area. I also agree 'R' is one of my favorite along with Naughty Dog with Uncharted series. Activision is one of my most hated companies can't think of the last time I've played a CoD games must be when BF3 Came out.
 
i believe most of the people who bought GTA are now disappointed. I hear a lot of guys saying that they're disappointed because it's too real.
i mean, we kinda play games because they're not real and we blow some steam off because of that.

Yup that's right within the first 3 days of release world wide it has made $1billion dollars. EA will need to step up on BF4 along with CoD Ghosts with activision.

GTA V breaking records left right and center and will probably be one of the best games of the decade.

There has been a lot of hype around GTA V. For example no-one turns up to school when it comes out. Anyway... I'm thinking of getting it very soon. I've never been a GTA player. I played it once but never liked it that much. However I may like it more now which is why I'm going to get it. I've played a lot of Saints Row but I've got bored of that now so I'm looking to move on to GTA.
 
Saints row is fun, but not on the same level as GTA people have been comparing the two games I just like to ask how? Since they are not comparable I've played both sainsts row and soon to plat both they're fun. I've played GTA San Andreas (the best one yet bought the PS2 edition on PS3) along with IV and V. You will probably enjoy V since there is alot to do on there.
