Ok so, I know this sounds weird, but I had to bring it up. I am moving soon into a house down the street from someone I know. Their house is haunted. Not the kind of haunted where someone's cousin's friend says they were there and something happened and noone else was there, but the kind where I have experienced it myself when another person was in the room. So anyhow, I am a bit nervous about the house I will be moving to. Should I be? I feel like such a kid, I mean I know I will want a light on and I will be all freaky about under the beds and stuff. Anyone else like this?

I mean when I watch a scary movie I have to have my feet up in the seat with me and I don't put them on the floor until the lights in the theater come on, at home I don't get out of bed when watching a scary movie, or right after. I am such a baby!

Haha, no i know what you're talking about... I think the new house i just moved into haunted! Twice, since we moved in, at 3AM our phone number has called 911 and hung up. Then the police have to routinely show up to see if everythings okay at 4AM. And the other day my roommate heard voices. Weird huh?

But i like scary movies. I want to see saw 2! :D

Lil, I don't think you have to worry too much, it's your friend's house that is haunted, not yours...but don't spend too much time at your friend's, the spirit might like you better and come home with you.

Always remember this, while many people have experienced something involving ghosts (orbs and mists, etc), you never really hear of anybody being hurt or anything. That's only in the movies.

If you ever do find yourself in a haunted house, I've read that you shouldn't ignore the spirit, but actually talk to it. See what's up. Explain nicely that it really doesn't belong in the house. Try that at your friends.

Keep us posted.

i like chillin with the sprits just about evey house i have lived in is haunted most of them were just wondering spirits a few not so nice ones like to do things to freak the crap out of me but you get use to it after awhile or at least i did

I really do believe that certain homes possess spirits of people who lived there in the past and have passed away ( I hate to say "died"). I'm told that sometimes spirits don't realize they're spirits or haven't reconciled themselves to the fact that they are. Some believe that if a person passes away with "unfinished business", their spirit will wander in a disturbed state. I have never felt a presence in this house, but I did in just one other that I lived in. I actually knew the man that used to live there, and I never felt threatened, scared of the urge to leave. I admit, I was pretty creaped out a lot of the time, but for the most part it was OK. I would say, Lil Bit not to let the kids know what you're thinking. Wouldn't want to scare the hell out of them! If there's something there, the kids will know. Their minds are more open to those things.

A little haunting won't hurt anyone. It's the big ones that make the movie of the week that you have to worry about. I wouldn't worry about it. I have been in haunted houses. I always smell lavender in homes that have a spirit. Weird!

My place was haunted in Pittsburgh. Lovely woman spirit! She was an elderly lady with a high collar dress and a bun in her hair. There was the sweet smell of lavender when she was about as well. At times my dog Molly would suddenly roll over like she was being petted on the belly and Molly would sometimes sit right up and look at the staircase and begin wagging her tail.

I often wonder if the people who bought my home have ever seen her. I never said anything about her to anyone looking at the house. Perfectly honest, I miss the old girl. Even gave her a name Hannah! As it turns out the original owner was named Johannah! Weird or what. My lovely spirited Hannah!

aahhh ghosts, ghouls and so what. Truly I do not belive maybe because I've never had the experince. I love horror movies, as of yet I have been unablet o find one that is either boring, normal or even makes me laugh...

Your not a baby lil just scared of something, like I'm very scared of fire...

but I never told you that.

lol i know :)

But I want one that actually scares me...I mean come on even the exorcist didn't...and that's meant to be the perfect scary movie...sigh

I know the feeling the closest I've gotten was "The Ring" I go more for the psychological area then all the gore...that and it makes me feel worse to see animals die then people.

The animals are there because the people who own them are dumb, it's not their fault.

I get upset seeing animals die as well, Freeze. As for psychological thrillers "What Lies Beneath" is excellent. I prefer romantic ghost stories like "Somewhere in Time" with Jane Seymour and Christopher Reeves or "Ghost" with Whoopie Goldberg. The only horror show that ever really frightened me was "Amenityville Horror" the original. I remember reading about those murders when they happened! I knew a guy from New York named Lou who said he knew the priest involved so it made the movie more real! Now he could have been fooling me I will never know but I believed him then and that was twenty some years ago. Gullible then ; still gullible!

The only things I could say that scare me truly would be war films. I've been known to cry at some of them, and I never cry at anything as firefly reminds me I'm heartless like that...

I guess anything to do with war and it scares me, anything to do with wwII, the siren is the worst, I hear it and it brings tears to my eyes...something to do with a past life prehaps?

lol I mean when I hear it on tv...

lol i burst into tears the other day when it said about london being bombed all those years ago...

I have no diea why I felt perfectly happy until I watched that...

I read somewhere that if someone or something strikes an overwhelming emotional chord within you and you have no earthly reason why it should then it is possible it is from a past life experience. So I am a Catholic who believes in reincarnation. Sue me!

lol so maybe I ahd a past life in the war...possibly as a young girl, but possibly as some form of soldier as well...maybe that's why i have those weird fire dreams... ?

That's awesome. I love ghost stories. Like when my dad tells me about the house he grew up in. Two bank robbers were killed in a shotout with police at the house right after a heist and no one ever found the loot. My dad kept the house after his parents moved out and my mom moved in with him. Their dog used to run around the house barking at the ceiling, doors and windows would lock and unlock by themselves, they heard footsteps throughout the house when no ones else was home, and once there was a scratching at the basement door that lasted for several weeks. Sometimes it would get so bad that my mom would actually sit out on the front porch with the dog and wait for my dad to get back from his night job.
