Playing the lottery is something that is a personal choice, some people love playing each week and others tend to steer clear of it as they don't see a point in playing with how difficult it can be to win something.
Back when the lottery first started in the UK, my mum would buy herself a ticket and she would allow me to choose numbers and she would put them on a lottery ticket for me, if I had a win on my ticket she would collect it and let me have it. I remember winning a few times but it was only around £10 when I won but for the age I was, it was quite a lot to me.
