How did you learn to make graphics

i picked up tutorial hints from others i met on forums...through generators and articles. then i experimented on PDN, gimp..and online gfx sites

I learned to make graphics just by learning how software works and then seeing what I can do to make different effects. The more practice and familiarity you have with editing software the more skilled you become. It’s the same with anything. Photoshop is a good tool to use for learning because it’s easy to use and has a lot of features to take advantage of.

I jumped into using Photoshop and then GIMP and learned pretty much most of what I know now through tutorials online.

I have always had an interest in creating graphics and even though at the moment, I can only create basic graphics, they are more than enough for me and I know in time I will be able to learn more and get better at making graphics.

I started with online tutorials and a lot of experimentation. It’s amazing how much you can learn from the community and the resources available out there.

For me, the key was to start simple with tools like GIMP and then gradually move on to more complex software like Photoshop. The transition was smooth because the basics of graphic design remain the same across different platforms. It’s all about understanding the fundamentals and then applying them creatively.

I also believe that practice makes perfect. The more you play around with the software, the better you get at translating your ideas into visual art. And don’t be afraid to ask for feedback; it’s a great way to learn and improve.
