That's the worst ****ing garbage I've ever set thru.. It's funny that the internet is abuzz with how "bad" the new "ECW" is. Have these ****ers seen this TNA mess? It's like looking at WCW... only worse. There are a couple of decent wrestlers, but they're so dragged down in the **** of indy level workers and WCW nostalgia acts... it's hard to give any of them any credibility. The only thing I saw worth watching was Christie whats Her Names segments leading into the commercials.....which made me think... she was the only Diva Serch" winner that was worth a ****..... and she was "let go" by WWE..... so why are they still doing that lame ****? Why force a bunch of talentless bimbos on their viewers, if theyre not even going to use the (laughingly I say) "winner?" Ehhh Guess the same could be asked about "Tough Enough."

O0oo.... lookie.. There's Maven..... and Jacky Gayle.... they're WWE "Superstars" Now!!!! (Laughs Maniacally)

The production values in TNA... SCREAM "3rd rate WCW!"

Worst announcing team on television..... it harks back to the cartoonish **** of mid 80's WWF. Teney's presense makes it look....too much like WCW and ANYTHING that reminds me of that horrid crap....cant be good

Sensei was good tho... I will give him that. Good and wasted. That team Canada crap is almost as good as Misfits in Action......And AMW..... well as I've said so many times..... Theres a fat disqusting Gay Indy promoter here in Nashville named Bert Prentice and he gave quite a few beefy no talented muscle boys their start in the Biz...... and both members of AMW were favorites of his..... and I'll never be able to look at either of those no talent ****s..... without seeing ol' Berts **** deep in their mouths..... (Chase Stevens was his special favorite tho, Bert and Chase lived together for 3 years) Muscle Beach party!!!!!!

*drinks*

I want to like TNA but I usually don't.

I think Samoa Joe, AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels are great but a lot of the other X-Division guys just don't interest me. Like I think the stuff with Alex Shelly and Kevin Nash is funny and I think Shelly has some inring talent but I don't really see it going any where. Austin Aries kind of reminded me of a young Benoit when he was ROH champ but he hasn't done squat in TNA.

And the entire main event scene in TNA right now is just lame, and if you can't get interested in the main Event of any show it is hard to get interested in the other stuff no matter what it is.

..

Tell me the truth... when they go to the announcers...... does that **** not look so dated... almost 1984 wwf..its hard to take the show seriously? Tenet? Reads WCW..... that oher ****er gives those over exagerated expressions like he thinks hes Mean ****ing Gene...... WWF circa 1985....... The Number one thing TNA nees to do to get some credibility....... is hire a new announce team that hasnt studied the WWE C team.

It doesn't remind me of wwe/wwf it reminds me of wcw, and I don't like either of them. I think they should have looked elsewhere for announcers.

I don't even remember making this thread. :shifty:

God I hate having to get up early in the morning because I absolutely cannot force myself to go to bed early at night. Aghhh I passed out in my chair again last night and my neck feels like it's ****ing breaking!

I think they should have looked elsewhere for announcers.

I agree.... they should've gotten Shiavone and Mark Madden!

"SMOOTCHIE BOOTCHIE TONY!!!" :D

what channel does TNA come on? I can never find that **** down here

Its on Spike Tv thursday nights, 11 eastern, 10 central

Mark Madden may very well be the worst announcer in the history of professional wrestling.

I think they should have gotten a no name guy probably with a sports background to do play by play and then a former wrestler as hopefully a heel color man. And if they had to have Tenay, use him as they did in wcw as the thrid guy who can just comment as needed and doesn't have to do any of the heavy lifting.

Maybe they should have gotten me and Geoff.

But to me, the wcw announcing "style" seems to be a throwback to Mean Genes work in WWF in the early 80s, The over exagerated almost comical facial expressions, mugging for the camera etc.... so yes... TNAs announcing is definatly a carbon copy of WCW... but I still feel like it originated in early wwf.

Where's Stevie Ray?

There are a few people such as Teney (and Zybisco) that if they use in any capacity, its going to give TNA too much of a WCW feel, and it seems like thats something they would want to avoid at all costs. But considering that the company is still being built around Jarrett, it's obvious that they dont know what the **** they're doing.

Maybe they should have gotten me and Geoff.

Who's play by play and who's doing color?

I think they should be trying to have their own indentity as much as possible but trying so hard to be different than wwe kind of means putting up with some of the old wcw retreds I guess. I really wouldn't have so much of a problem with that if they were being used more to put over their younger guys and not as main eventers.

I can't really blame Jarrett too much though if I was part owner and ran a wrestling company, I'd want to be the champ too. :p

And I am guessing that Geoff would be handling the play by play as the babyface announcer and I'd provide the heel commentary as the color man.

Jeff Jarrett is a ****bag.

Samoa Joe, Petey Williams, and a few X division guys are the only ones I like...

I'm so **** sick of the Dudley's.

They haven't had a fun match since Bubba and D-Von were going AGAINST ONE ANOTHER.

Yeah too bad Matt stayed with the WWE. If not they could bring him and Jeff in to add to the fued with the Duds and the Outlaws for who is the most overrated tag-team of all time.

I still think The Eliminators are the best tag-team of all time...

Well, my favorite, at least.

I wonder where Perry Saturn is?

There's no tag team division in wrestling anywhere nowdays.

I can't really watch TNA. I've said it before hard to take any organization seriously if one of your main event stars is Christian Cage. Definitely some of the X-Division guys are good but most of the time its just Jeff Jarret, Sting, Steiner etc. Retread WCW ****. No thanks.

Agreed, with the possible exception of Van Dam & Sabu.

Mikey Whipwreck & Tajiri were becoming an awesome team at the time of ECW's demise.

TNA's just...

Meh.

TNA is alright. I'm not going to say I hate it, because I do enjoy different aspects of it, but it's not must-see TV for me by any stretch. I'll occasionally be in TNA "moods" where I'll need to see some wacky, high-flying, flippidy-do-da wrestling, and that's when I'm most enthusiastic about the promotion, but if I'm not in that mood, it can be tough to care about them.

I still like my guys (Joe, Daniels, Styles, Rhino, Abyss, and some others), but the show just doesn't hold my interest. I will say that the angles all have a very old-school feel to them, as a lot of the show does (although some of that "old-school" is definitely old-school WCW, Jaime), and that can be a nice change of pace from fecal matter and midgets. But the show still feels small-time compared to WWE. Their PPVs are always high quality, but if you can't get people to care about the PPV hype, it's going to be tough to get people talking.

Unfortunately, I don't really know what they need to do to improve. On paper, they seem to be doing a lot of things right. They're putting on matches that people want to see, they're creating new stars, they're incorporating different wrestling styles from all over the world...and yet...I still anticipate watching crap like WWECW every Tuesday a lot more than I do Saturday Night Impact.

TNA has a place in my wrestling world, but sadly, it's a very insiginficant place right now. :\

I don't think TNA gets people to buy into their hype because they don't really place the proper amount of importance on things. Their announcers oversell everything, so like Joey Styles doing a RVD/Sabu match, all those verbal ****s start to be a waste of time. Even their titles don't mean as much because they get shifted around so much and to so many different people. There have probably been a dozen X divison champs that I can think of and at least 7 different guys as NWA champion since they restarted not to mention the fact that AJ and JJ have both had that belt multiple times.

And they really need to start making "their" stars the main event guys and using the old names as cannon fodder a lot faster I think. The biggest thing the WWE has over them in my opinion, besides the name value, is making stars and making you think they are stars and that they are a big deal. And who is in TNA's main event scene? Sting, Double J, Steiner, Christian and Samoa Joe. That is one new star, 3 old WCW retreds and a WWE midcarder. AJ and Daniels are more "their guys" but they are in the tag division and I don't think Daniels has ever even had a NWA title shot. And they have guys like Abyss, Brown and Rhino just treading water even though Rhino took a piss on ECW for them and Abyss and Brown are "their guys".

I taped it thursday night and finally just watched it, because lets face it, at 3 am on a sunday morning, theres not a wealth of quality television to choose from.

As with every other attempt I've made to watch the product.... I have pretty much the same review. There are some exciting quality segments that are immediatly ruined by their insistance on taking a trip back to WCW land!

Tonights standout segment featured AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels in an awesome segment which culminated in a clash with LAX.....

It was immediatly followed by a less than Lame segment featuring Jeremy Borash (who should be working at Burger King somewhere) anf Larry Zybesco wearing a bad tupee as a result of losing his hair at the last PPV.

That's quality WCW stuff there guys... and the reason that WCW no longer exists. Those who don't learn from the past, are condemned to repeat it.

The opening with Douglas and his new "team" was ok but living in Nashville and knowing what I know.....

....I cant look at Chase Stevens without getting a little sick at my stomach. Same with AMW.

KIM GAIL SHOULD NEVER BE ALLOWED TO SPEAK!

I actually enjoyed the main event with Jay Lethal (a good ****ing wrestler) against Jarrett. Of course it was given the WCW **** booking..... but Lethal made it worth watching.

In about 2001 (or 2) I was at the fairgrounds early for one of the PPVs, I had gotten in an hour or two before the show started because I had gone with Kelly Wolfe who is a friend of mine (he wrestled for TNA in the early days under the name Slash.... Hes also known as Wolfie D in ECW and USWA) and I had a chance to meet and talk to Jeff Jarrett for a pretty long while, sitting out in the front row seats before the crowd was let in.

Jarrett came across as a really nice guy and he was very kind to me that night and was very accomidating in the role of a wrestler talking with a "fan." (I had had several encounters with him previously when he was in USWA and indy shows that were not as pleasent. Either he didnt remember me or was kind enough to play like he didn't remember.)

Anyway..... I feel bad "hating" Jarrett with the passion that I do, considering that he was very nice to me on that one occasion....... but i do despise him as a worker and even more so because of his Hogan like behind the scene politics.

The Rhyno-Joe segment was pretty decent.

The Christie Hemme segments leave me puzzled.....

Why crown her Diva Search delux.... only to let her go.... and yet keep lesser talent such as Maria and Ashley....

Ehh....
