Just a warning that the preview versions of IE6 introduced MS's XP registration scheme into Win9x and NT/2000 OS's. While the registration system may not disable software past a certain point, it may still be sending info back to MS.

Grr. I switched recently to Netscape 6 for that very reason, Dan, and unfortunately I'm finding Netscape to be a bit buggy/unstable...it must be an inconsistent sort of thing though, because my bf was using it for awhile with no problems, which is why I decided to go ahead and switch. Oh well.
Netscape still hasn't gotten their act together, even though they've made progress. Netscape is still just too buggy, is a horrible resource hog with a ton of memory leaks, and crashes if you look at it funny.
IE5.5 is still the best browser out there, but MS just won't be happy until they force every last home user into abandoning Windows altogether by forcing unnecessary upgrades on their customers, and also violating their privacy rights by throwing in their little snooping mechanisms at every opportunity.

Ok for some unknown reason I upgraded to this 6.0 thing. I am now having lots of trouble with cookies. Does anyone out there know how I can get the stupid cookies to be inabled. I have already tried to move that security thing down to accept all cookies, but for some stupid reason it doesnt seem to care and I still get messages from different sites saying that I need to enable cookies. HELP
------------------
"Never hold a cat and a dustbuster at the same time"
1) In IE 6.0, on the top menu, select Tools-->Internet Options. The Internet Options dialog should appear.
2) In the Internet Options dialog, select the privacy tab.
3) Move the setting slider to the "Accept all cookies" position and select OK to close the dialog.
Hope that helps.
