I want to install Freewwweb's ISP, but they want to overwrite existing files. Is it safe to allow that? If I should need to uninstall Freewwweb, will it take files with it on the way out? Or corrupt existing files? Freewwweb won't install unless you allow it overwrite files.....

Let it overwrite them, but first take note of which files it wants to overwrite and backup those files. If they are clearly system files, and they are more recent then freewwweb's version, just copy them back over after the install has finished. Usually this will work fine when you're forced, unless freewwweb uses a version-specific system file that they include, which would be very stupid...
