agreed
that's the one thing that i'll always make money for
cable isn't quite what i want in my new place
but it's the cheapest broadbrand option
$40/mnth isn't so bad if you think about it
$10 a week ;\
i dunno
you may have other priorities
The Problem is that as much as I will hate being on dial up, I cant afford to get dsl. This is why I must suffer for 3 months before I again Have my lightning fast line here at school.

I suggest talking your parents into getting a cable-modem or dsl connection, if available. A friend in Cali says he's been using the following ISP for 3 years and has been very satisfied with them. When he was first looking, he switched between nearly 9 different isps the first year, before being satisfied with the current one. He says it's statewide... InReach http://www.inreach.com/
Not sure on setup fees etc, but says they have a promo going on, if you refer someone, they waive any setup fees.
i can give you some do-not-do advice: DON'T use prodigy. they suck so bad i hate them i hate them i hate them
three more months till i get a college line... yay!

If you're stuck with dial-up, I haven't had too much of a problem with Mindspring/Earthlink. Service went a little downhill since they merged, but nothing terrible.
Last week, I somehow managed to have my dial-up connection up for 8 days straight with no disconnection.
