Jerry Springer for federal office?

READ MY LIPS: Ringmaster Jerry Springer saying he may make run for office again in 2002, although he acknowledged his TV show could wind up costing him votes. The former Cincinnati mayor added he would probably go for a federal post, given his interest in national issues.

When I was living in Ohio last year Jerry Springer "floated a test balloon" about running for Congress...just about everyone threw a fit and he ended up making a statement that he never intended to run for office and he had no idea where that rumor came from. ha.

You gotta admit, though...it wouldn't be THAT much of a change for him, right?
