(CNN) -- Casey Anthony was acquitted Tuesday of first-degree murder and the other most serious charges against her in the 2008 death of her 2-year-old daughter.

But the jury convicted her on four misdemeanor counts of providing false information to law enforcement officers.
As the verdict was read, Casey Anthony cried from her seat in the courtroom, breathing deeply as she looked forward. She then hugged her defense attorney Jose Baez and other members of her defense team.
Her father, George Anthony, meanwhile, showed no visible reaction from his seat in the back of the courtroom.
Orange County Chief Judge Belvin Perry Jr. set sentencing at 9 a.m. Thursday for Casey Anthony. She faces up to a year in jail on each of the charges she lied to police.
The verdict was reached by the seven-woman, five-man jury after deliberating for less than 11 hours in a trial that stretched to more than six weeks and featured allegations of sexual abuse, questions regarding Casey Anthony's competence and various theories on what happened to 2-year-old Caylee.

Not following the case but to me she looks like a party girl. That doesn't make her guilty but I find it hard to believe she isn't.

I for one was really upset that she got away with murder. I heard from the news reports that since she has already served three almost four years in prison she will be out in a few days, time served. She has declined speaking to her parents while she is still locked up and I presume she doesn't want to confront her parents behind bars knowing that her conversation is being tapped because I bet her parents will ask her this question. "Did you kill your child?" And since she has been found not guilty it would make the public really upset to hear her say "Yes I killed her." I think she killed her daughter and just like O.J. Simpson sooner or later she will tell someone that she in fact did kill her child. And to make matters worse a book or movie will come out about this which will make her very rich. I for one will not contribute to her wealth by purchasing the book or watching the movie. She is a sick, disturbed person.

Too many questions still in my head.. don't care about lack of substantial evidence. I think the girl got away with murder..and that make my angry for her little girl!

I think that its good she got off. There was no evidence against her. People are mad because she was tried in the court of public opinion and the media made her seem guilty. But, that really is not fair. Look at that poor Peterson guy. The only evidence they had against him was his wife's hair in his fishing boat. No weapon, no blood, no nothing. And he is dead. He got the chair and they fried him for the death of his wife and unborn child. He may or may not have done it, but according to the system he should not be dead.

People can not have it both ways. And it would not have been fair to this woman to kill her without evidence. They should have had a better case nothing more or less. Did she do it? Who knows?
