I like how Amir Khan still doesn’t give IBF/WBA light welterweight champion Lamont Peterson any credit for having beaten him and made him look like a panicking fouler in their bout last December in Washington, DC. Khan seemed was panicking big time and running around the ring like a chicken with it’s head cut off to try and escape Peterson’s punishing body shots.

Khan told esnewsreporting.com “I don’t want to just go in there and win on points or numbers. This fight will not be close. I will win clearly. If not clearly, I’ll win by knockout.”

He won the first fight clearly, too. Peterson was game, but the rounds were easy to score and that guy didn't win any more than four - even with the point deductions against Khan, that's a competitive but clear win. Even if I score one of the late rounds even as a penalty against Khan for admittedly displaying questionable ring-generalship while still being the more effective puncher, Amir still wins by a 114-113 margin. I don't really see how anybody could have Peterson winning that fight, however they spin it. Boxing corruption at it's finest.

In the more impartial setting of Vegas, though, Amir should get his revenge.
