Can you buy those seperately?

yeah.. call up the company.. i have a 3com card and had to get 3-4 of them in the past 3 yrs.. they used to be free until last yr.. started charging $20 i think

You should be able to get them, but I had trouble getting one from some company, although I can't remember which one. I believe the common name for those things is "dongle."
