FREEPORT, NY - A mentally disabled woman from Uniondale stayed on a school bus for nearly five hours on Monday. Her family reported her as missing, but now she is home safe and sound.

The 30-year-old woman was left on the bus after the driver parked in the lot at the Laidlaw Bus Depot on Main Street in Freeport. After she did not return home by 4:00 in the afternoon, her parents reported her missing. Then, they went to look for her at the bus yard. They found her still inside the bus in the locked bus depot, nearly five hours after she was picked up.
