Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas or as we say here in this household, CHRISTMAS GIFT!!!! I woke up and can't get back to sleep so I thought I would slip in and say good morning.

We, Bill (Cathy's other son in law) and I got her computer up and running again. Found her control panel. I had an iso of Media Center, and she had her key just in case the recovery files on her computer were also fubar'ed. I made a boot disk of that iso so we were good to go but the recovery method worked.

Then yesterday, we headed over toward Brevard to see my aunt and uncle, daddy's youngest brother. He has a summer/retirement house there. Uncle Joe says he hasn't retired any more than daddy has even tho daddy no longer has an agents license with New York Life. Told daddy he will never RETIRE just because he quit working in a JOB. Then we went to a party at a friend's house late yesterday afternoon.

Today, dh and I are heading up to Asheville to see his cousin/dh and aunt and uncle. We saw them at his dad's funeral but this time it will be a happier occasion.

And we are going to be coming back up here to daddy's on the morning of the 5th of Jan for an overnighter. Pam is going to try to make it up here as well from her end. Daddy is celebrating his 80th birthday with a party that day (his birthday is the day before). :clapping:

Merry Christmas!

Sounds like you are one busy gal, Liz and glad you got that sick idiotbox up and running!

Wouldn't you know, I woke up at 8:06am this morning, serenaded by Al snoring ....When the kids were little, it had to be "light outside" (around 8am!), when they were older, it had to be "8am" so I guess old habits die hard.

BUT I got everything that needed to be done, done this morning! Now to Al's Mom's "later, not too early" and after that I can officially drop.

We had Christmas here last night as both kids are working today. What fun with the Wii! I hid the package and I made a little card that said "redeemable for one Wii", open it up and it said, "But YOU will have to find it". The kids looked at eachother, looked at me, said, "whaa?" and I said,
"well, find it!"
They broke into grins and the race through the house commenced. Of course they found it in about 5 seconds but still it was lots of fun.

Aron took the Wii over to Manda's house (she has a big screen TV and Poopy wasn't giving up "his" TV, yup, he's still being Poopy! I'm soooo gonna end up punching him before he goes back to work! :Coopwink but they even got Manda's Mom playing! Of course "us Old Folks" always want to try the bowling game!:clapping:

AAAAHHHHH peace at last!!!!

the youngest 3 are in bed and the eldest 3 are in the garage playing darts!! Me.... i'm sat here with a glass of wine!!!

It's been a long day and a very strange one with both our mums on their own for the first time this chrismas....we all went to dh's mums....my mum included and it went very well despite the 2 little ones being undre the weather!

I had to rush Zoe to the dr's on sunday ...she's been unwell for a number ofweeks and has had one lot of antibiotics for an ear infecton...unfortunately it came back and on Sunday both her ear drums burst!! Thankfully that released the pressure so she has been alot happier since!

Andrew is just Andrew...he only managed one day of the last week of school ...he is totally wiped out and I suspect we have the worst yet to come with him..oh well never mind


Anyway i think i am off to bed soon so I hope that everyone enjoys the rest of their Christmas

Well, Julie, y'know when the kids hit double digits, it gets much easier and your time is coming! Only two left now, you're over the hump.

Went to MIL's, all went well, Christmas is DONE :clapping: (well, there's the undecorating, but the hard part is kaput! As long as I get the garlands and wreaths down before the finches nest in it, I'm in the clear!)
