Responding to the rash of e-mail viruses that started with Melissa and I Love You, the Redmond, Wash.-based company is clamping down on the types of file attachments that will work with the newest version of its Outlook e-mail software.
hermanm> Don't wish for something. It might come true.
For as much as Outlook was a pain in the **** at my last job, what with corrupted mailboxes, magically AWOL personal folders, and the like, I would gladly run back to an Outlook/Exchange system over what my current job is using: Novell GroupWise.
By far, the worst email system ever conceived, it regularly goes down, the interface is a chore to use, and the web access feature has virtually no functionality.

Eh, yeah, I wasn't really wishing anyway. I don't mind Outlook all that much - it would be a decent e-mail client if it weren't for the security problems (I haven't personally experienced the troubles you were describing), and I don't open attachments I'm not sure of.
I use Eudora at home and highly prefer it to anything else; however, I've never worked anywhere that it wasn't mandated I use Outlook. Maybe I'll get lucky with the next place I land.
