middle east news online: a different perspective

I don't think it is a good article, as I see quite a few inaccuracies in there, which only serve to anger me more about the attacks and the events surrounding them.

Have they lost their humanity because as one Palestinian recently stated, "every bullet, missile, and weapon used says Made in the USA?"
All of the video I saw of Osama Bin Laden showed him firing an AK-47. The AK-47 is NOT an American-made weapon. I'm so tired of seeing the US blamed for every conflict happening in the world. The Middle East has been in turmoil for centuries, dating back to long before the USA was a soverign nation, but somehow, we're to blame for the conflict? Please...

Talk to Palestinians and Palestinian-Americans. They are outraged and devastated.

Then please explain to me why there were Palestinian-Americans in the Passaic area of NJ who were out in the streets, dancing and waving Palestinian flags, in celebration of the attack. This was occurring IN THE USA!!!

It's entirely possible that Americans are not getting the full news story, and with so much to cover, it's understandable. But it's also clear to me that this reporter not only doesn't have all of the facts, but has inserted way too much personal opinion into this piece. This is more editorial than objective journalism, and shouldn't even be called "news".

Another quote that disgusted me in this article...
With regard to Israel, perhaps the only ones to gain from this tragedy...
Please tell me what ANYONE gained out of this. This is nothing but a statement of propoganda, and is more opinion than fact.

i didnt bother to read the article yet, or read dan's post, but i just wanted to tackle my way into the group hug :bgrin:

:ufo:

I read the article earlier, but couldn't be bothered posting about it, and thought pretty much the same as Dan. :)

Well... I half-read it, didn't post coherently about it, and certainly didn't think about it!! Thinking about that kind of stuff takes up too much energy that I need for other things. (No - I'm not being cynical and uncaring, just realistic about myself.)
