Does anyone here work the night shift? I have a friend who works 11pm - 8am and sleeps for a couple of hours when she gets home and does it all over again. I'd probably be a zombie if I worked the night shift like that.
I used to and it was horrible. Hardly anything happens in the operating room at night. You just end up doing nothing, trying to sleep but failing, and getting yelled at in the morning for things that were outside of your control to begin with.
I also used to do 24 hour shifts when I was on ambulances. Morning to night. Those we're some hard shifts right there!
My regular hours I believe will be 11:00 am to 7:30 pm. I work the overnight for years and towards the end I just did not like it that much. It took me about a year to get back on a day schedule. though I worked overnights for 10 or 11 years.
