Wife and I are working to get the lawn mowed. We are so far behind on our yard work this year.

This past year I will admit, due to the weather we had during the summer I didn't spend half as much time out in the garden as I would have done normally and I know that I mowed my lawn a lot less than I would have normally in the summer months.

Hoping for a better summer weather-wise in 2024 so I can get more done.

Yeah, we got a lot of rain this year. Not to much time for yard work.

I mow my lawn usually (rain pending), once a week. Sometimes tedious in hot weather, but I enjoy the exercise.

I can mow most lawns with a push. However, with something like golf courses, a riding is essential. What do you all use?

I literally use chickens around the house. They keep the grass really nice and short. Last season I didn't have to cut the grass even once.
This year I will introduce guinea pigs. They really do good job on the grass.

I haven't heard of chickens, only goats doing that. Which do you figure is less expensive? Have you tried goats?

I do have goats, but they like more to browse higher branches, and chickens love the very fresh leaves early in the morning, they look like caws eating grass lol...
