No Mail on Saturdays?

Through snow, rain and gloom of night — but maybe not on the weekend. Battered by slowing business and huge projected losses, the Postal Service announced Tuesday that it will study cutting back to a five-day schedule that would eliminate mail delivery on Saturdays. The agency also will examine how much money can be saved by consolidating and closing some postal plants and offices.

You just gotta love the USPS.
First they raise their rates, then they complain about losing money. So, they think about cutting back on services. Yeah, that will sure instill customer confidence.

Maybe if they concentrated on providing a "quality" service, they wouldn't be losing so much money.

Getting the mail is the highlight of my day lately.

The stupid thing is that there is really no need for them to make a profit. It is a government agency that should be subsidized in order to provide its citizens with a useful service.

I agree. The USPS...or snail mail, as I prefer to call them, doesn't need to make a profit. I think it's insane that they do. I also think that moves of 30 miles are also silly.
