Nuclear weapons

Mankind is faced with so many threats to our existence ranging from our terrestrial harmful activities causing various sicknesses and deaths, to the invention of various mass killing devasting weapons and bombs and then our biggest threats yet is the invention of nuclear weapons which has the ability to wipe out a whole country and leave it inhabitable for years.

It is no news that in the current wars happening around the globe and of that between Russia and Ukraine many are scared that if the war escalates they might be the use of nuclear weapons by the various states involved, which they have made several moves to avoid such devastating occurence.

What do you think is the way out, should they seize further production of any nuclear weapons, or should the various countries reach an agreement never to use theirs even in an event of a war? Share your opinion on this..

I feel that at this point the best course of action is to have an agreement between all countries that have nuclear weapons to say they won't use them and to not make anymore. I don't think it's as simple as agreeing to all get rid of them because some countries might not just in case, but using them would destroy the Earth so it's in no ones interest to have them.

The thought of nuclear weapons being used against other counties is so scary. The overall impact of nuclear launch would have on not just the target area but the wider area is major. I don't think that getting rid of nuclear weapons is a possibility but I think there needs to be some way to control all counties will access to them to prevent them being used.

We should destroy all of them. However, we cannot allow anyone to have even one weapon. If there is one weapon, then there needs to be another to counter it - for security.

From the beginning of time, man has always been competitive and wants to eliminate the other man from the universe entirely. The development of nuclear weapons is a manifestation of that competitive nature of man. I hope it never gets to be used in my lifetime.
