What smaller jobs can students do to earn a little extra cash online? The ways I've done so so far are running websites and selling advertisements on them but due their upkeep most of the income goes back into it. I've also spent a lot of time gaining referrals and earning via my referrals. I've also sold my webmaster related services on SEOClerks. These methods have all helped me earn a little bit more money so I can buy games, game upgrades, day out with my friends, new piece of technology, that kind of thing. What methods would you recommend?

I think online money is just pointless and a tad lazy. I used to look so hard to make money online but every offer was **** money. I'd rather get a minimum wage job at the cinema or whatever.

I wouldn't say lazy. Yes it involves sitting around, not very active but a lot of online jobs still require a lot of mental effort. As a lazy person I find even online jobs to take too much effort but that's because I'm only lazy if something's difficult. I play a lot of sports because I find that fun but some online jobs aren't. Also you can earn a reasonable amount online if you have the right skill set and find the right sites.

I disagree, in this day and age getting even a part time job can be hard, so by trying to earn money online is a good option. It's by no means easy, but many earn money through blogging (Google Ads, BuysellAds, referral programs with eBay and Amazon). Content writing and gaming related videos can bring in some decent money too.

"Mental effort" sure. That's what you need for real jobs PLUS physical effort. Better pay too, might as well head out there and spam out CV's.

You seem extremely negative about online jobs. There are people out there who earn thousands just by making videos - yet minimum wage is better pay? I worked in a pub as a student, I'd have much rather had an online job to use my mentality rather than serving alcohol, running around cleaning up after people and carrying several plates of food at a time to each of the 40+ tables at least 3 times on a dead day. It made me pretty ill and actually caused me to drop three clothing sizes - I could have done without that while attempting to study and revise in the small amount of time I had left.

Why do you show such derision towards online jobs? o.O
