I have a Nook Color tablet myself. I got it pre-rooted for Christmas a few years back, but I've since upped it from Android 2.2 Froyo to Android 4.0 using CyanogenMod 9. I am planning to get a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 because my Nook Color is starting to go bad (the battery level sensor is messed up, the cover for the SD card area is missing, it freezes a lot, etc).

I have a smartphone. It's definitely not the best thing on the market, but I've rooted it and removed every piece of bloat I could and now it runs fairly well. My only complaint is that my battery seems to be going down a lot faster than it used to.

Yeah, I don't plan to root my Galaxy Tab 3 cause the last thing I rooted, an old Optimus T, broke/bricked while rooting.
I haven't had a cell in 10 years. Call me old fashioned (on second thought, don't call me old fashioned lol) but I plan on keeping it that way.
I have both. I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 as my cell and I have a Google Nexus 7 as my tablet. They're both very awesome and very useful for those boring moments....like at work.
