A friend of mine told me about this recipe recently, and I thought I'd share it with all of you-

what you'll need:

some pita bread
extra virgin olive oil, or regular vegetable oil
seasoning(s) of your choice- there really isn't a particular seasoning you have to use

How to make them:

1)Preheat the oven to 350.

2)Cut the pita bread into triangular shapes (don't leave it as a pocket), and lightly coat them with the olive/vegetable oil

3)Then, season them to taste, however you like (ie- garlic powder, or any seasoning you want- this doesn't matter- it's all preference)

4)Put them in the oven until golden brown (about 10 minutes or so), and you've got tortilla chips! You can also dip them if you'd like.

That sounds awesome- I recently bought some pre-made by some small company. I bet yours are better!

The ones Costco sells now are pretty good. Nice and crunchy, and they have a really good flavor.
Nice if you just want a bag of them to munch on if you don't want to go through the trouble of making your own.

I discovered these years ago - they're absolutely fantastic! I usually skip the oil and just sprinkle some season-all, then break them up once they're cooked. They keep beautifully in an air-tight container, so I always do a big batch.
