OK another time thing, you transported back to the beginning of the 19 century, you have the power to change anything that happens in the future cause you know what is going to happen, do you change things around or stop a tragedy from happening, knowing that it could possibly change the future, this is not for a personal event. but a major event ??

This is a hard question, because I really want to prevent the creation of the atom bomb, but I know that there are currently other dangerous weapons that can be as destructive in our current timeline right now. Even if the nuclear warhead never can to be, there still exists the K.E.M. (kinetic energy missiles) that can be just as devastating, albeit without the radiation.

Then there's the Holocaust, since millions of people died, but I haven't quite thought about the adverse affects this might have if it never happened (if there even are any). 9/11 would also be great to prevent, as to reduce the amount of hatred some people of this country have towards Muslims. Yet, I'm sure some other cynical event would have taken its place.

I agree with you, if you prevent one thing, something else will happen, i remember watching that movie, The Time Machine, and his girl friend getting killed at the beginning of the movie, she is stabbed, so he gore back in time and prevents that from happening, but then she is hit by a car and killed, the point being, you can change the event but not an outcome. One of the girls on mine said that they would go back and kill Pope Lewie as a child, cause he started the witch hunts and the killings of Woman who were accused of being witches, that is all good, but some one else may have started it if he hadn't. I call it the perfect Paradox

Well @Mozzie, the same plot appears in the movie The Butterfly Effect, where Ashton Kutcher keeps trying to change the future for the better, but has to make a sacrifice in the form of another incident occurring instead kek.

I have seen that movie so many times and i thought, what a great movie, and yes, in the end the only way out of it was to end his life in the womb, depending on what ending you chose to watch. But i think that would be the problem, the ripple in time, for everything you do, there is an opposite reaction to it.

I do believe history is written in stone and to change it means that the issue will still happen or something even worse will come about.
