I guess now would be the time to come out and explain my inactivity on the site; I am not one for words, and I don't even know if this is even in the right area; but it is advice based on my own experience.

Well the thing is, everyone should be aware of who they talk to, internet or physically and be aware that there are people out there who abuse their titles and do lie about things. in April, I went on work experience to work with police dogs, it was a nice experience although dogs are generally not in my line of interest, and on my last day ((which counted as work exp, you'll know what I mean later)), I was at Dunsfold, a massive airfield where they film Top Gear. Any ways, long story short, one of the policemen there, he was an attachment and wanted to learn dog handling, he had been in the force for 7 years; the police are supposed to be people you should feel safe with, right?
I was sexually harassed by a policemen, he thought I was leading him on; but I had only been talking about college and aspirations of mine, and I opened up a little about friendships and domestics; and we had a laugh, but he misread me and thought I liked him.
This man was 31, I am 17. He asked me numerous times if I was single, he held my hand and touched my back one time when we jumping over fences, he then sent me a series of texting, with inappropriate messages which lead to me reporting him.

They tried interviewing him a few weeks ago and he handed in his resignation, I was told that this was a good thing because he still has a criminal record for gross misconduct, and that if he had of chosen to be interviewed, the process would have been drawn out for about three months; and I would have to be present in court and repeat what I told my agent confidentially, in front of the man who caused weeks of drama, fear and sadness in my family.

I guess I just wanted to write this for everyone, always stick with your friends and always carry around a mobile/cell phone; and I guess it proves even the people you should trust the most, aren't 100% trustworthy.

Thanks for reading and I hope this is okay to post.

Oh dear ;_; I'm very sorry that this man made you feel so uncomfortable and took advantage of you. I think it's easy for other people to say, "you should have said stop" because I know that's not always what's running through your mind. I'm really glad you reported it and did not allow him to go further. Hopefully he's learned his lesson and understands that be crossed the line.
It's true, you can't trust anyone these days. Police men are supposed to be trustworthy people :/

It's good that you reported him. It takes courage to do that and not a lot of people would have been strong enough to report.
It's also sad that someone made you feel so uncomfortable. I hope that you're doing alright and that things are okay now.

Thank you for the responses it means a lot 8-8, I am doing a lot better thank you<3 he lives in the same area as me so I am a little apprehensive whilst walking around town in case I bump into him, but I am rarely by myself any ways and my friends are all aware. But honestly, this man would have to be a real idiot to come anywhere near me.
