Sharon Osbourne has revealed that she briefly left her husband Ozzy around the time their teenage son Jack entered rehab this spring.
Sharon said the family were waiting for a bed at a treatment centre to become available for Jack.
But she said her rock star husband continued abusing alcohol and prescription drugs himself.
Sharon said he refused to stop using so she packed her bags and left.
The separation lasted just a few days, she said.
"The next morning he gave up drinking. But I needed to make sure that he was on a roll, that he really meant it," she told a US TV show.
The 50-year-old added: "After four days I came back to see him and he was trying so hard. He still is clean and sober."
