Should the criminal law courts in the United Kingdom be televised for the public to see? or Should the court proceedings be at least recorded on video for watching at a later date? :p I think they do this in America and other countries, should it also happen in the UK?

There are so many risks associated with showing trails on TV. It could risk the safety of the jury, the witnesses and the lawyers. I think that the way the UK court system works is fair in that the trail is limited in who can see what happens to those essential persons only. Media circuses that could occur if the trail was publicly showed could impact the fair trial process which could result in a mistrial.
