hermanm> Come hang out with me. I'll beam you over some cool little goodies.

There are so many places to get decent software for the Palm. Download.com is a good place to start.

What is that beaming thingie anyway? How does it work?

I found a few cool little gadgets...got some demos, trying to figure out if any of the shareware things are worth the $ or if I should just stick to freebies...

There is a little IR port on the side of your Visor that allows you to transfer data, programs, etc. from one PDA unit to another.

In laymen's terms, it lets you transfer information from one unit to another wirelessly.

And stick to the freebies.

I haven't bought a piece of software for my Visor, and I'm getting plenty of functionality out of it. And it's completely legal... no pirated software on it.

Okie, sticking to the freebies...having some fun checking out what is out there, and playing around with it...

I have no specific plans for today, so guess what I'm gonna be doing...

And how, pray tell, do I delete apps I don't want? The only way I can find is to do a hard reset and get rid of everything?? Ecch.

hermanm> From the main screen, click on the pull-down menu.
From there, you should see the App menu, select Delete, and choose the apps you want to remove from the list.

You DO NOT have to do a hard reset. That's hardly practical, now is it?!?

Oh, good. I actually hadn't even found a pull-down menu yet...

But when I looked in the user guide (yeah, I know, not usually the best way) it said I could get rid of unwanted apps by doing a hard reset. I was gonna be really ticked off if that was the only way to do it.

there should be four icons painted around the text entry box: one of them (usually the bottom left one) is a menu activator, which will activate the menus for whatever you're using. punch it from the menu screen and one of the options should be what dan was talking about.
