Seems like part of the problem is our long threads so decided to start a new one (okay?)

Glad we are back :bliss:

Missed everyone! I'm thinking... Hoping we can get the grill started tonight, so windy yesterday it would not kite, even w new propane tank.

Also, glad DS17 is getting dental work done today and not me.... He broke both his front teeth when he was 8 and one of the veneers is chipping.

:sign:

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

It is currently 32* and we STILL have not turned on our furnace this year. We have two radiator style heaters(oil filled) and we have them going, but we are trying to keep the furnace off til we need it. Plastic going on the windows this weekend.

F that Jeni, you're crazy!!

I'm taking DD shopping for new shoes, which is always fun! :)

I'm glad the site is up
I wish it were warmer,
Going Target-ing later :))))

I really have to go to the bathroom and yet I'm stuck on hold in Tracfone purgatory trying to get my boss's new phone to work. I hate them I really really do :gah:

Well the site being down for a bit gave me time without distraction to make good progress on my hallway painting project. :) It's such a small hallway, I cannot believe how long it is taking me. :gah: Painting walls, trim & doors...3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom & one doorway into the hall = LOTS of trim. :surrender:

I dislike projects that take more than one day, so I am determined to finish this TODAY.

I am ****ING PISSED that my DD's school THINKS that they know better. This child is in 2nd grade and can outspell and outthink most of these kids and they give her 3 LETTER words for spelling...they're so easy she doesn't even practice them anymore...and she can use them in a sentence and she can tell us what they mean. I call the teacher who is fresh out of college and she is like: "well that is how she tested on the first day of school" I said, "retest her" and see if she does better..supposedly she is going to do that tomorrow....when you are in 2nd grade and have words like: Sun, it, the, etc. etc. I think you have a problem! Just sayin'

DD2(today!) is closing in on a 4 hour nap... I might regret this tonight but she hasn't been sleeping well lately and has a cold...

It's good to be home!

Both in my house (cats are here now), and here on CW.

Just received the order confirmation & tracking info.

What is the listed date of delivery? The 23rd!!! :gah::gah:

Thanks! They're adjusting pretty quickly. Jody yowled the entire 35 minute drive over here. Surprisingly she did not run under the bed and hide in fear (there's still time though); she's spent most of the time walking around whining. They've all been investigating for several hours. Spot did his happy dance a little bit  He thought about laying down in front of the fireplace, but he seemed a little timid of the fire. Now he is curled up on my bed. Leonard (gingerballs) found the shower and started licking the puddles, one of his favorite pastimes. He also made his way between the spindles of the railing onto the useless shelf above the front door within 30 minutes of arriving. I was wondering if they would get onto that shelf; now I know I can't put anything decorative there or they will probably knock the stuff off and break it.

Or I could just overfeed them until they're too fat to fit through the spindles, then put all kinds of breakable crap up there :girl:

We had flurries on the drive home tonight. I am so grateful the snow held off until we were moved in. I'm also grateful for the wonderful friends and family who helped us move.

yep, that is why I am so disgusted....she learned those words in K too. She should be at a much higher level by now....and she is...they just aren't teaching them to her. And you really aren't that far from me. SMH.
